  1. Megan, your additional resources are great. Music and movement is a wonderful resource to have and one of the hardest for my early childhood educators to implement into their daily routine. Is music and movement something you do with your children in your program on a regular basis?

    1. When I was directing at the center, I made it mandatory to have at least two time slots available for music and movement activities. The trick is to allow teachers the excess to resources to aid in this task. Children need to have free movement play but structured play offers much more in way of educational growth. Especially, when given the task of assessing a child's growth.

  2. Megan,

I will definitely be looking up Music and Movement it sounds like it is perfect for my program. Like Liz asked, do you use these disciplines in your program and if so...do you use this book as a direct resource?

  3. I use this book as a direct resource but I am also constantly looking for new movement activities. The biggest challenge is offering activities the apply to all ages in the group. Sometimes children need to be asked to accomplish different tasks.
